Advisors are smart tools supporting users in finding the right products or any other kind of entity that is hosted on a platform by following a multi-step approach. Intelligent query and ranking methodologies in combination with an intuitive UX make the search and selection process more comfortable.

Description

Advisors are intelligent tools giving its users guidance for finding the ideal products or any other kind of information such as services, courses, providers etc. In order to guide the users to the right advisor for finding for example a product category, the advisor is asking the users a set of questions. By clicking on icons, answer options or images, the users are guided through each step. After the last question, a list of results that are presenting potential products (or other entities) is shown to the user. The advisor system is building on various intelligent query and ranking methodologies in combination with a supportive UX to keep the search and selection process intuitive.

Advisors could be used in different domains and for different user groups. Besides their main field of application for conventional consumers (A4C), advisors are also used as smart tools for other end-users such as businesses (A4B), governments (A4G) or investors (A4I).

Modules

Product Finder

Product finder is a tool to assist users to find the service or product the user is searching for. It contains several questions that specify the products the user is looking for and deliver a list of relevant products as a result. The questions are provided as dichotomous questions that allow yes, no or I don’t know. Product finder or advisors always use an icon-system to support the users for answering the questions.

My Situation

My Situation are scenarios in which the user can relate to their problem or need. My Situation are superordinate categories that combine several categories matching the given subject matter. This allows the user – once the situation is defined – to find services and products that can support the user needs. My Situations are provided in a list view, and can be accessed in a detail view that describes the situation.

Experts

Experts are people who have expertise in a wide variety of fields. These help the target groups to clarify specific issues. In addition, they can also advise the target group

Features

Favourite Products

The user can not only save the search results but the user can also save individual products as favourites to access them later by using a star icon at the top of the bar.

Product Comparison

The user can compare several different products by selecting the products and put them on a compare list. The compare icon is located within the thumbnail of the product.

Language Switch

Advisors are available in several languages. The range of languages are depending on the advisor. At the very top is a drop-down menu where the user can choose between 5 different languages. English is the default language, and additionally the user can choose between German, Dutch, French and Portuguese.

My Saved Results

My Saved Results allows the user to save the results after a search. The result list is automatically named after the category the user is searching in. The user can also change the title of the saved search and rename it. Furthermore, the user needs to enter a description for saving the search.

Search Bar

The user can choose between two categories at the search bar: my situation and categories. The user can either enter his/her search in the search bar or include a keyword.
